Our Research
Modulating Brain’s Immune Cells
Our work focuses on understanding and modulating brain immune cells to fight neurological diseases and promote brain health.
Fighting brain tumours
Our research combines advanced imaging techniques and novel therapeutic strategies to improve diagnosis, treatment, and outcomes for patients with brain cancer.
Fighting brain ageing
We study the mechanisms of neurodegeneration and develop strategies to maintain cognitive function as we age.
Fighting inflammatory disorders
Our research targets the causes of inflammatory disorders, developing innovative therapies to reduce brain inflammation.
Fighting Neurodegenerative Diseases
Our lab is dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of neurodegenerative diseases.
Outreach
Great Exhibition Road Festival
We had an amazing time at the Great Exhibition Road Festival in London! Our team showed how focused ultrasound can be a game-changer in treating Alzheimer's disease.
Visitors were fascinated to learn how we use precise sound waves to safely and non-invasively open the blood-brain barrier, allowing treatments to reach the brain directly.
Imagine a beam of sound waves creating temporary openings in the brain’s defenses, letting therapeutic agents pass through and work their magic. It’s like opening a hidden door to a world of possibilities!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to learn more about this groundbreaking technology. We loved sharing our passion for neuroscience and ultrasound with all of you!
Imperial Lates
We focused on minimally invasive neuromodulation technologies — and how they can change lives. Visitors were immersed in two VR experiences designed to explain what Alzheimer’s disease is and how focused ultrasound neuromodulation could help. We also showcased a next-generation wearable FUS device like a headphone, which is designed to stimulate the vagus nerve and improve sleep disorders. Our custom-built arcade game challenged visitors’ memory, reflexes, and cognitive speed through a playful neuromodulation-themed competition.
It was inspiring to see people of all ages get curious, ask questions, and interact with the science behind the NEUROMOD+ network. We’re proud to be part of a movement making neurotechnology more accessible.
